“The process we have laid out today will ensure a fair and open Leadership Election for the FCP” said LEC Chairman Richard Kayler.

The Interim Board of Governors has also decided to separate the Leadership Election from the FCP’s Founding Policy and Constitutional Convention.”

“We’ve decided to ensure that every member of our party has the chance to vote in our first leadership race, regardless of where they live in Alberta” said FCP Interim President Bob Lefurgey. “By splitting up our Leadership Race and Founding Convention we will ensure that the members have enough time to deal with a very extensive list of policy resolutions, and write our constitution.”
