RELEASE: FCP to Provide Opposition That Doesn’t Run in Fall Session
EDMONTON, AB: Today, Freedom Conservative Party (FCP) Leader Derek Fildebrandt outlined the party’s priorities for the fall session of the legislature.
“In the FCP’s first session of the legislature, we will provide an unflinching opposition to the NDP’s agenda. No matter how controversial an issue the NDP brings forward, the FCP will not run, abstain, or stay silent. The FCP will never vote for a bill just because of media or opposition pressure, and we will take a principled stand on every issue before us.”
“Good opposition however means more than just criticizing the government. Wherever we take issue with the government’s policy, we will provide a constructive alternative about how we would do things differently, including a fully detailed alternative budget.” – FCP Leader, Derek Fildebrandt
